Puff Pastry Spirals with Smoked Salmon & Chives

Ingredients

1 egg

1 tablespoon water

1 sheet frozen prepared Puff Pastry, thawed

1 cup grated Dofino® Creamy Havarti

¼ cup chopped dill

¼ cup chopped parsley

8-ounces smoked salmon

¼ cup crème fraiche

Cooking utensils:

2 non-stick baking sheets

Methods

1. Prepare the spirals: Preheat the oven to 400ºF. Whisk egg and water together and set aside.

Unfold pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface. Brush with egg mixture and sprinkle with grated cheese and herbs to within ½-inch of the edge.

Starting on a long side, roll the pastry up like a jellyroll. Press the seam to seal. Cut into 15 slices and place, cut side down, on baking sheets. Bake until golden brown, about 15 minutes. Set aside and allow to cool.

2. Cut large slices of salmon in half. Roll slices into flower-like rosettes and arrange on a pastry spiral. Add a dollop of crème fraiche and two chives.
