
Oven Browned Texas Toast
Makes 8 servings
Sometimes simple garlic bread just needs a boost. Try one topped with sweet onion and the distinctive flavor of Dofino® Fontina.
Ingredients
1 large loaf French bread
¾ cup Lurpak® Unsalted Butter, soften
1 teaspoon thyme
½ teaspoon Tabasco
½ cup sliced red onions
2 cup grated Dofino® Fontina
Methods
Preheat the oven to 400°F. Cut the bread in half lengthwise. Beat the butter with thyme and Tabasco, and spread it on both insides of the bread. Layer the onion on the bottom slice, sprinkle evenly with cheese. Top with other bread slice and securely wrap with foil.
Bake until crust toasts, about 25 minutes. Cut into slices to serve.
