Nacho Puffs
Dofino® Havarti with Jalapeno gives these cheesy potatoes a playful flavor. They are a perfect appetizer recipe for game day or any time you have a crowd.
Quantity: Makes 24 potatoes
Ingredients
24 small new potatoes
1 cup hot water
1 ½ cups hot mashed potatoes
1 ½ cups shredded Dofino® Havarti with Jalapeno
6 strips cooked bacon, chopped
2 tablespoons chopped jalapeno
1 tablespoon chopped cilantro, optional
Methods
Trim ¼ inch off the top of the potatoes and just enough off the bottoms in order to stand them up. Scoop out the centers and place on a baking sheet. Pour water into the pan, cover with foil and bake in a preheated 400°F oven until soft, about 15 minutes. Set aside. Combine the mashed potatoes with 1 cup of the cheese, bacon, jalapeno and cilantro. Spoon the mixture into the center of the potatoes. Sprinkle remaining cheese on top and return to the oven. Bake until cheese melts and the potatoes are thoroughly heated, about 10 minutes.
Tips: Plan ahead! Prepare both the potatoes and the filling in advance. On game day, simply assemble the potatoes and heat thoroughly just before serving.
These look great! I can’t wait to make these for my SuperBowl party in Feb!
