
Grilled Cuban Sandwich
As this sandwich is grilled, the Dofino® Creamy Havarti melts, encasing the ham & tart pickle for a perfect blend of flavors in each bite.
Ingredients
4 ciabatta rolls
2 tablespoons mustard
8 ounces Dofino® Creamy Havarti, sliced thin
1 deli pickle, sliced thin, lengthwise
½ pound lean black forest ham, sliced thin
PAN: Cast iron 10-inch skillet
Methods
1. Cut the bread in half, lengthwise. Spread both sides of the bread with mustard.
2. Layer half the Dofino® Creamy Havarti, pickle, and ham on bottom half of bread. Top with remaining cheese; replace bread top and gently press together.
3. Place sandwich in skillet over medium heat. Press down to flatten with a second skillet. Grill until the cheese melts, about 5 minutes on each side.
4. Remove sandwich and cut into 4 pieces. Eat while hot!
